UCLA
Greeks are making progressive changes and addressing key social
issues that impact student's lives. Individual chapters
provide regular educational programs and members participate
in on-going community and system-wide initiatives to address
timely topics.

Greek Programs and Initiatives...
All-Greek
Educational Forums: These annual campus forums and follow-up workshops allow the entire Greek community
to gather together and address pertinent social issues. Recent programs
include: nationally well-known speakers on diversity, sexual
assault and date rape, HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness, hate crimes, and
alcohol/substance use and abuse.
GAMMA: Greeks Advocating Mature Management of Alcohol designs workshops and educational
sessions on alcohol use and abuse, monitors Greek social events, develops
resources, and works with UCPD to promote responsible behavior and safety.
GASA: Greeks Against Sexual Assault is an organization of Greek men and women that is dedicated to the education, awareness, and prevention of sexual assault on campus. The "not in our house" campaign sponsored by GASA is just one initiative that brings forward dialogue on this important campus issue.
New
Member Forums: Meetings are designed for all new sorority and fraternity members to discuss
current issues affecting the community. Small group and panel discussion
allows new members to meet other students while addressing key issues of concern
such as hazing, personal responsibility, risk management, sexual assault, homophobia,
and racial sensitivity.
Judicial
Boards: Peer Judicial Boards are student-run groups that hear cases of violations of
policy, such as the IFC/Panhellenic Risk Management and Social Conduct
Policies, and impose sanctions.
Health & Wellness
Educational Programs and Classes: Programs are coordinated and sponsored to promote health and wellness among
members. Topics explored through these programs include nutrition and
fitness workshops, breast cancer awareness, and sexual health discussions.
Leader
Retreats, Roundtable Discussions, and Training's: Various activities are designed to bring fraternity and sorority leaders together
to set community goals, plan activities, and develop personal leadership skills. These
events provide students with opportunities to discuss campus issues and promote
awareness and understanding on University policies, regulations, and applicable
laws.
Alumni
Advisor Education Series (AAES): This education series is designed for
alumni volunteers with the goal to assist and facilitate alumni
advisors in acquiring the skills and information necessary to
effectively work with today's undergraduate fraternity and sorority. The
program is made available to all alumni volunteers of our
Greek-letter organizations established at the University of California,
Los Angeles.
