SOCIAL CHAIR TRAINING

Plan to attend the Fall Quarter Social Chair Training sponsored by CSP/Fraternity and Sorority Relations.

Who:  Fraternity/Sorority Social Chairs (All Greek Councils)

When:  3rd Week - Wednesday, October 19/6:30 - 9:00 pm

Where:  LATC Clubhouse Room (Entrance @ lower SE corner of LATC)

What:

  • Increase your understanding of University Policy, Council Policy, and the Law;
  • Discuss risk and liability issues associated with social programming;
  • Learn about host liability in a range of venues (chapter houses, clubs, apartments, etc.);
  • Gain perspective and advice from UCPD Representatives;
  • Review the role of and procedures for GAMMA as it relates to residential-based organizations;
  • Participate in an open forum discussion and network with other Social Chairs.

Why:  Regularly scheduled social chair meetings and trainings are designed to assist fraternity & sorority leaders with event planning and foster continued responsibility in social programming.

Attendance:  This is a required program for all fraternity and sorority organizations sponsored and advised by the Center for Student Programming, Fraternity & Sorority Relations. Your organization is expected to attend annually scheduled Social Chair Training sessions and meetings as a condition of University Recognition and in compliance with the UCLA Alcohol Policy.
