Greek Leadership Retreat

Fraternity & Sorority Relations, in cooperation with the six established Greek Governing Councils conducts an annual Fall Quarter kick-off retreat for all fraternity and sorority presidents, governing council officers, and sub-group leaders.  The purpose of the retreat is simple; bring together some of UCLA's greatest student leaders to foster community building and teamwork, communication, personal growth and understanding.  


IMPACT

A weekend leadership retreat for chapter and council presidents held in the beginnning of the winter quarter. The retreat is filled with educational programming, team building, and goal setting for the Greek Community.

  • Winter 2008 IMPACT Retreat is scheduled for January.

Greek Leadership Connection (commences Winter 2008)

The Greek Leadership Connection is designed for second-semester newly initiated students who are interested in getting involved within the Greek community and developing their own leadership skills. Students involved in the program meet weekly during the Spring semester to participate in leadership workshops, community service projects, UCLA campus events, and a retreat!

The Benefits of the Greek Leadership Connection:

  • Get better acquainted to the campus community.
  • Network with local alumni and international officers.
  • Learn about UCLA ’s student organizations and how you can get involved!
  • Make a difference in the community by participating in various community service activities.
  • Interact with other Greeks on campus.
  • Meet faculty and staff members from around campus.
  • Visit another campus to meet other Greeks.
  • Develop various leadership skills including time management, communication, values, and ethics.
  • Get connected with current UCLA student leaders on campus.
  • Become informed about the involvement opportunities on campus.

Bruin Leaders Project

The Bruin Leaders Project is UCLA's nationally renowned campus-sponsored leadership development program.  It is a hands-on, seminar-based leadership development program that strives to make its participants better students, better leaders and better citizens.  Based on a non-hierarchical leadership model, we believe that leadership is a state of mind, and therefore anyone and everyone can be a leader.  Join us to develop your leadership skills in a free, interactive and non-confronting setting, and you can even earn a Certificate of Leadership!
